Each home presents different needs. Therefore, we adapt each project to the characteristics of the client, the environment and the building itself. We develop residential architecture projects for new-build single-family homes, comprehensive renovations, rehabilitation of houses and farmhouses, residential buildings, housing developments and extensions or redistributions of existing homes. Although each project is unique, they all share the same philosophy: creating homes where design, functionality, sustainability and construction quality are part of a coherent strategy from day one.
WE ARE SUSTAINABLE
Sustainability does not depend solely on installing efficient systems or incorporating advanced technologies. It begins in the way the home is designed.
Therefore we apply principles of bioclimatic architecture, bio-construction and, when the project requires it, criteria from the Passive House (Passivhaus) standard, taking advantage of the natural conditions of the environment before resorting to mechanical solutions. Orientation, solar protection, cross ventilation, envelope airtightness, thermal bridge control, thermal inertia of materials and building design directly influence energy consumption, indoor air quality and home comfort.
At the same time, we pay special attention to the selection of healthy materials, prioritizing whenever possible products with low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and reducing the use of materials containing formaldehyde or other substances that may affect indoor air quality.
Whenever possible we incorporate natural materials and low environmental impact construction solutions to create healthier, more efficient and comfortable homes. This approach allows us to develop modern residential architecture projects that improve the well-being of their occupants and reduce energy consumption.

We spend most of our lives inside buildings. Therefore, a home must offer much more than protection from the outside climate.
At Ecohabitats we design homes where health is also part of the architectural project. We study aspects such as indoor air quality, natural lighting, thermal and acoustic comfort, humidity control and proper air renewal to create healthier and more pleasant spaces to live in.
In addition to controlling humidity and promoting proper air renewal, we study aspects related to indoor air quality (IAQ), the hygrothermal behavior of the home and, when ground conditions require it, we apply solutions aimed at minimizing exposure to radon gas, always in accordance with current regulations.
When the characteristics of the project require it, we incorporate solutions such as controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) or forced ventilation systems, which help maintain adequate air renewal, control humidity and prevent condensation problems or mold appearance.
We believe that good residential architecture not only improves the energy efficiency of a home, but also the health, comfort, indoor air quality and daily experience of those who inhabit it.
