Restoring the essential, updating the functional

In this project, in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample, we went beyond a simple renovation. We recovered the value of a historic home, respecting its essence and adapting it to current comfort standards. The estate, listed as city heritage, housed unique elements that we restored with care: original hydraulic floor tiles, stained glass mosaics, plaster moldings, and traditional exterior woodwork.

The result is a home that preserves 19th-century elegance, but with spacious, bright areas adapted to modern life.

Sustainable rehabilitation and urban bio-construction

This project exemplifies how bio-construction is also applied in established urban environments, especially when choosing to rehabilitate instead of demolish. By preserving and restoring original materials, we minimize the consumption of new resources and avoid waste generation.

Furthermore, the new layout improves natural light entry and cross ventilation, favoring passive thermal comfort and better energy efficiency without the need for invasive interventions.

Home staging with sensitivity and vision

Years after the renovation, our clients entrusted us with a second task: preparing the home for sale through home staging. Thanks to a simple and elegant staging, we enhanced the original architecture, helping future buyers imagine their home without losing the property’s unique character.
